I read a thing about it and it said if you eat a lot of fat it can cause uncotrolable bowel movements! I'd rather be fat than shit my pants!

I've been on Alli for almost 3 weeks now. I haven't had any "treatment effects" from it. I'm doing it in conjunction with WW....I've lost 3lbs thus far. You will not have "treatment effects" if you stay within the recommended fat for each meal.

I like it because it gives me more discipline. Rather then overendulging and thinking I can handle the consequences which would be weight gain...later...um...By using Alli the fear of having "treatment effects" prevents me from overendulging.

They recommend starting a low fat diet several days before starting to take your Alli pill...that way your system is use to it....

The starter kit is full of alot of important and helpful information.

I have not tried the Alli yet. But quite a few years ago I did take the perscription strength of it, can't remember what it is called. And the reason you just gave was the reason I liked it and it worked great for me. Even the stronger dose I never had problems with. Good luck as you continue to take it.

Thanks Lisa. :) It is actually called Orlistat. Alli is Orlistat but, it is a smaller dose.

My mom has been taking Alli for a few weeks now and she has noticed results. Like johnsdeere said, it has helped her keep disciplined. She also using this along with Byetta for her diabetes.
