I think I am going to have a nervous breakdown over this wedding...and it isn't even MINE! LOL.
My cousin and his fiancee decided to get married...and left less then three months to plan a a fairly large wedding, and they have NO money. Plus, she is being picky (things would be so much easier if she would stop insisting on all this stuff she can't afford!)
ANy ideas on where they can find rings for $100 a peice? She wants a SET even..(*sighs* personally I'd opt for a decent BAND but w/e)
They refuse to go the pawn shop for the rings......

theres bridal sets that are under $250 at walmart. . . and you can tell her just because its walmart doesnt make it any less of a wedding ring. . . theyre still (white)gold and diamond

We got a 3pc white gold set for $250.00 ? at walmart . We decided we didn't need a $1,000 set to be married . I love my rings and he loves his.

Thanks anyway ladies...but that is still out her price range! She has a set price (in her head) of $200 or less for her SET and his band.....

Wow, Alissa, I'm not sure. Do they have to be real? I mean, if it were me and my budget were that small, I'd probably settle for CZ until we could afford more. Although I probably wouldn't be planning a huge wedding in less than 3 months if I were broke. :dunno: Anyway, I'll look around and see if I find anything.

Honestly, I would check ebay. I got a very small band, but very pretty, for $45. I didn't want a wedding ring that would take away from my engagement ring, and this one is perfect!
Just be careful and make sure you read all of the auction - some of them are gold plated...or CZ or whatever.
I could look up the seller of my ring if that might help?

I don't think she is expecting a diamond....I am pretty sure she is ok with CZ.
She looked on ebay....and I did explain having to be careful and read carefully and 98.6 rating rule (I never ever bid unless the seller has a 98.6 positive rating or better). SHe seemed all for it...for a moment. Just like with her dress. LOL.
I am nearing my wits end on trying to help her. I have tried and tried to convince them if all they want is to be married....that a JP wedding right now would be better, and they could do a renewal next year when they have had more time and more money.
It doesn't help that my cousin just quit his job without having another one!

Definitely try not to stress too much over it alissa :sigh: I mean, if they're expecting everyone else to do all the grunt work, they definitely need to rethink things. I think you're right - a JP wedding now and a renewal when they can would be best!

Thanks for all your help!
I guess if they just acted on something I would feel less stressed about everything!

Anytime :hug99: Yeah, it's hard to be a go-getter when the people needing to be getting things done don't seem to care!

Does it need to be a set? Can it be plain? I think they could get a couple of gold bands pretty reasonably. I'm thinking about getting a plain band and I'm finding them for about $45 for white gold. I'll get a wrap or eternity band on one of our anniversaries.
If they want something fancier silver might be the way to go. Overstock or Ross Simons usually has something.

I've seen some nice Diamonique rings (gold and high quality cz) on QVC that have decent prices. Maybe try looking on their website?

oOo Overstock and QVC..two places I hadn't thought of. Thanks!
As far as style and all that, I don't know what she is wanting. I am sure she ios okay with CZ...but that is about all I know for sure. Because everywhere she has loked..it has all been "this one sticks up to much" "this one the band is too thick" etc....
SO I don't know what she likes, I just know what she doesn't. LOL.

We got our wedding band and my e ring at Walmart, but it wasn't in their price range. I don't think they can get the real thing in that budget.

My Engagment Ring Is Tapered As It Wraps Around My Finger Towards The Palm Of My Hand And I Am Considering A Wedding Band To Go With It But It Is Also Tapered The Same Way. Will This Combo Of The Two Work Together Side By Side? Two Tapered Rings?
Help, I Have To Decide Today!!!!!!
Thanks

She could search on ebay for diamonique too. I think it's a more realistic diamond substitute rather than CZ. Still pretty inexpensive.
