Okay, this may come slowly, but I'm going to try to post our wedding day story. Please don't post till I'm finished.

I woke up at 9 so I could go eat with MOH. We ate at Los Reyes and headed to Tips 2 Toes to get our nails done. We were planning on having enough time to go back to my parents house and unload all the junk in my car and re-load it with all the wedding stuff to be at Cohutta Lodge around 3 or 4. And we were planning on going to Wal-Mart before heading up there to get fruit for the fondue fountain. While sitting in the nail salon, FMIL calls me and lets me know that her and FFIL and RB and JGM are at After Hours getting their tuxes and 2 of the 3 are messed up. This After Hours is a good 2.5 hours away from the wedding location so I'm slightly nervous but not stressing it too much bc I really want to relax at the nail salon. FMIL assures me that they are in the process of fixing them and everything would be okay. FFIL's coat was too long and RB's pants were too short. Turned out to be no big deal.

They let MOH go ahead of me at the nail salon for her pedi. It was about 12 when we walked in the door so we figured we'd be out by 2. HAHA wrong. I was still being finished up at 3:15... and we had to get to my parents house to get them and all the wedding stuff. Luckily my mother had already gone to Wal-Mart to get the fruit. So we rush to their house and find out that my brother and SIL don't feel like going to the RD. No big deal EXCEPT that both of their kids are in the wedding. So we all freak out trying to figure out a way to get the kids up there and my dad decides to drive seperately and bring the kids... so we are all on our happy way and arrive at the lodge at about 4:30.

From about 4:30 to 5:15ish, MOH and I help everyone decorate then we both have to go get ready for the RD.

As I am walking down the stairs at about 5:50 (RD starts at 6), I am informed that one of the BMs has had a small wreck and is not on her way yet. The site is on top of a mountain and would take her a good hour to get to from where she was. So needless to say I freaked out. How would she know what to do? And I didn't even know if I should believe her bc she makes excuses a lot. So the wreck happened outside her work (where MOH also works). So MOH calls her boss... not to see if BM was lying, just to see if she's okay. The boss calls the BM and tells her that we don't believe her and blah blah blah a lot of drama is started. So I call BM at 6:00 when the coordinator is asking if we are ready and asked her if she's going to make it and she says "well its up to you. do you still want me to come?" WHAT THE HELL?? Of course I still want her to come. I'm upset but I still need her. So she says shes going to change clothes and come up there. I tell her to forget her clothes. I need her now.

In the meantime, we start rehearsing without her. Rehearsal went perfectly even without said BM. My cousin stepped in for her until she got there so GM would know what to do. We went through it twice and BM shows up right at the end. She looks at MOH during the rehearsal and says some snotty comment about how it really happened and she can see her car. MOH just ignores it bc obviously that's not the time or place.

We all head in for dinner. We had salad, spaghetti and cheesecake. YUM! It was awesome! The singer for the wedding was asked to play his guitar and sing during dinner and he did. It was awesome. I had so much fun. I had never met any of Brian's extended family until that day. They were all so wonderful.

After the RD, all of Brian's family went to his mom's cabin and chilled while my aunts, my mom, MOH and I decorated. We stayed there till like 1ish decorating. I went to FH's room at about 11:55 pm to change clothes and made sure I left by midnight so I wouldn't see him on the wedding day haha.

I woke up at 9 am to get ready and meet people at Cracker Barrel for lunch/breakfast before heading up the mountain. It was me, my mom, my dad, MOH, the 2 BMs, my aunt, my friend who did our hair, her friend who helped her and the friend's little sister, the lady that did our make up and her son. I had broccoli cheddar chicken. YUM!

Then my mom, dad, and I headed to my aunt's house to get my dress that I had hanging in her spare room and to my parent's house to get some candles for the memorial thing. Then up the mountain we go.

As soon as we get there, I walk in to finalize a few decisions and realize that the cake is WRONG! Bridezilla almost came out! I had added another layer to it to make it 4 but it was only 3. That extra layer was $215. The coordinator was busy with another customer and I didn't want to be rude so I went on a mission to find her helper. After I found her she could tell I was really upset. I wasn't crying... but I was mad. She assured me that they could fix it. When the real coordinator got back in, I told her and she admitted it was her fault and said it should be no problem to cut the slices smaller and give us a refund. I agreed to that and problem was fixed. Time to go upstairs to a room my FMIL rented for us to get ready in.

For the next 2 to 3 hours, we were all just getting ready. Nothing really interesting. I'll post pics of it in the next post. But the girls did an awesome job on my hair and make up. I loved it.

I wasn't nervous at all at this point. I was just very relaxed.
Brian's mother walked in the door right after the photographer got there and FMIL started crying when she saw me. :) Made me feel good haha.

So I was ready and just waiting bc the photographer had all my BMs to take pics with Brian. Still not nervous. Just talking to ppl. After a few minutes, the photographer came to get me. So everyone helps me get down the 2 flights of stairs and I see all the ppl waiting in the reception room. And everyone made it a point to tell me that Brian was down there but hidden from me. I heard him talking. It was so cute how everyone was keeping him from me. So it starts hitting me then... but not too bad (the nerves). We went outside and took a few pics of me and BMs.

The wedding coordinator came out to tell me I needed to go into the chapel so that they could bring Brian out of hiding and get started. OMG I couldn't believe it was time!! Me and my BMs went into the chapel and I started getting pretty nervous then but I was still calm. Shanna was talking to me to keep my nerves calm bc she's the only one in there that had been married. Then smart me wanted to look out the window to see how many people were there. Holy cow!! The chairs were almost filled and there were still people walking out. So needless to say, I got a little more nervous then but I'm still pretty calm.

Next thing I know the doors to the chapel come flying open and both of my parents come rushing in bawling like babies. I said "No don't come in here crying. I don't want to cry!" But they insisted on hugging me so of course I lost it then. :sappy: So 2 of the BMs got some of the fan programs and fanned me off so my face wouldn't be red and I finally calmed down.

All I can really remember is Shanna talking about having gas when she's nervous lol. And Angel saying "Shut up you're making me have gas" and me saying "Guys don't you realize Anna (JBM) is in here and doesn't know you guys? She probably thinks you guys are psycho." And I remember I tried to put on my lip gloss but I was nervous and got it all over my mouth lol and Kellie had to help me out.

Then I hear the d.j announce that it's time for the wedding to start and I lost it. I had to sit down. I was really nervous then. I couldn't believe that I had worked on this moment for a year and now it's happening!! They had to fan me off again lol. Then it was time for them all to walk out. I watched everything from my tiny little window and it was PERFECT! No one messed up. The kids were adorable and well behaved. I loved it! But I was still fanning myself off bc I was pretty nervous.

Then it was time for my daddy to open the door to let me out. He was crying when he opened it, but for some reason, all my nervousness went away right when he opened the door. When I paused for the coordinator to straighten up my train, I saw Brian. It was the best moment of my life! All of my nerves were completely gone and I just focused on him. I couldn't have been happier. In fact, I couldn't wait to be up there with him. So much so that I grabbed his hands before my daddy even gave me away. OOPS! :giggle:

All through the ceremony, we both giggled lol. It was so cute. He was smiling from ear to ear. I can honestly say I've never seen him as happy as he was that day! :floating: Nothing went wrong during the ceremony. Everything was perfect! We went through the sand ceremony pretty quickly but that's alright. The d.j cut out the song after one verse lol. When it was time to kiss the bride, Brian really kissed the bride lol. People were teasing him later bc he had his hand behind my head. It was funny. I didn't even realize it though.

Then we were finally pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Brian S******.

We both had the time of our lives at the reception. We didn't even get a chance to sit down. We had requested that the coordinator fix us a plate and let us eat in a room off to ourselves so we could have a little private time and be able to eat without being interrupted. That happened but she set it out too soon and by the time we were finished with pics, it was cold. So we asked her to heat it but we forgot about it for the rest of the night. We didn't realize it until we were leaving and the chicken marsala was already gone (off the buffet... not our plates). And we didn't want to eat the plates that had been sitting out for 4 hours. So we got stuff from MIL's cabin to take to our cabin.

Anyways, the reception was wonderful. It was EVERYTHING I wanted. We started with the introductions (you'll see pics of that) and the bridal party stayed on the dance floor and formed a semi circle so they would be gathered around us for our special dances. We had our first dance to I Swear by John Michael Montgomery. Then that faded into my Father Daughter Dance which was My Little Girl by Tim McGraw. Then that faded into the Mother Son Dance which was My Wish For You by Rascall Flatts. That was a total surprise to me. I actually thought the dj had made a mistake bc I had told him to play Wind Beneath My Wing but this worked out perfect. It wasn't a mistake either. MIL just forgot to tell me she changed it haha.

Immediately after the dances they announced that they had a surprise for Brian and I and that we should have a seat in front of the dance floor. MoH and her bf, along with a little help from BM Ben, made us a slideshow of pics of us growing up then pics of us together. It was so sweet. I had been thinking about making one but I decided against it bc they would charge like $150 just to use their projector. But I got it anyways :) It was so sweet and I actually was surprised even though I knew she had the pics. I thought she was making an actual collage to hang up or something. That was the only time we got to sit down all night and even then, people were still trying to talk to us. I kinda wish they hadn't but that's okay.

The rest of the night was just filled with dancing and you'll see most of it in the pics.

The cake cutting was a BLAST. I acted all sweet and made DH think I wasn't going to smear it in his face and as soon as he got his piece in my mouth, I smeared mine all over his face haha. It was great... until the photographer told us to kiss and DH made it a point to smear his face all over mine. So then we were all covered with cake. I don't have any pics of it yet but I'll be sure to post them when I get them.

Angel (MoH) gave a sweet toast to start things off. She read a bible verse about sisters and congratulated us. Then Chris (BM) gave one about how Brian is pretty much his brother and now he pretty much gained a sister this day. And he has never seen Brian as happy as he was this day or as happy as he's been since he's met me. Then my dad thanked everyone for coming and congratulated us. Then Kenny (GM/ Brian's roommate for 2 years who still lives with us) gave a toast about how he's had the pleasure of living with Brian for 2 years and I've been in and out all the time and he couldn't imagine us not being together for good or something along those lines lol.

We had no idea we were behind schedule and people had started leaving so they could get off the mountain before it got too late. So we decided to do the bouquet and garter toss right after the cake cutting and toasts. As I was walking to the dance floor for the bouquet toss, SOMEHOW, a skewer from the fondue fountain got stuck in between my toes. It was one of those long wooden kabob stick things. And HOLY COW it hurt soooo bad. I had my shoes on and they even had a strap between the toes that it went between so I have no idea how it happened. But no one could tell what was wrong with me. The music had already started and the girls were waiting for me but I couldn't move. And my dress was so long that you couldn't even tell. And Brian wasn't standing with me bc he was waiting for me to do the toss. So as I was turning to tell Brian, the stick jabbed in further every time I moved. It had gone in about an inch into my foot. I didn't want to scream it out bc I didn't want everyone to freak out. And I sure didn't want to cry. So I finally managed to let it be known somehow and my aunt, the nurse, comes rushing over to me and takes one look at it and says "Oh my gosh!!" and starts grabbing napkins to put pressure on it. I admit I shed a few tears, but she got it to stop bleeding and put a band aid on it (that didn't stick long cause my feet were sweating) and I continued on like a real trooper. :)

Angel and an old friend from church were both going after the bouquet. I said that I should have had Girl Fight playing haha. I have a video but I think it's too large to post on here. The friend from long ago ended up getting it though. Then her brother caught the garter but he gave it to Zakk (JGM).

That's pretty much everything that happened. We spent the whole night hugging and talking to people and had a BLAST.

Everyone got a kick out of our last song. It was I Wanna Grow Old With You by Adam Sandler. :) It was perfect!!

Then we spent that night in a honeymoon cabin that MIL and FIL rented us for the night. It was awesome and very romantic. Except for the fact that I wanted to take a bath as soon as we got there and no one had told us that their water was GROSS bc theyre well broke or something. Oh my lord. It was disgusting. It was brown. It looked like something off a horror movie where someone had been murdered in the bath tub. So I just washed off real quick and didn't even wash the hairspray out of my hair. The rest of the story will have to go in the HM story when I decide to write that lol.
