I am having a terrible time, once again, trying to decide on centerpieces. I know I want to use the mirrors, either round or heart shaped. and I want to do something with candles. But I have NO idea how to put them together or what else to use. I don't want them to look too plain, but I have not one creative bone in my body. Any suggestions, or pics???

I don't have a picture of mine, but what I am planning to do is this: I bough about 60 of these square shaped candle holders from walmart, so about $1.27 each. They have 2 sizes, and look kinda like rounded squares. I'm filling those 1/2 way with water, and plopping in a white round floating candle. 2 of these to a table (rectangular tables) and then spreading flower petals around them. You could then set these candles onto the mirrors. Anything along these lines I think would be pretty (hence, my own centerpieces lol) but you could find any kind of glass candle holder or vase/like glass, set them on the mirrors, put a candle in the bottom (or floating candles, if they can hold water) and these use some kind of other scatter decoration (petals, ivy, etc).

Good luck :happysigh:

Septbride I'm so glad that you started this thread! I am completely lost when it comes to center pieces! Similar to you, all I know is I want candles....and maybe gerber daisies, but that is as far as my inspiration goes!
Keep the ideas coming ladies!!

Ooooo and Trin - how do you suppose they got the flowers to stay submerged like that??? (as in #1 and #2) I love that!

 That I do not know.. Maybe they glued them to the bottom of the vase, let it dry and of course didn't add the water until the wedding day.

Beth these are my centerpieces. All I had to do was glue the glass rocks onto the candle holder.

It was so easy to glue with a hot glue gun. And then they are also easy to take off. Just put in a tea light and watch all the rocks fall off.

I hope that you are able to come up with something. Mine are for sale if you are interested.

Hmm I don't seem to have a pic of my centerpieces, but they were just those octagon mirrors with a pillar candle in the center and a garland with pink flowers that I found at Hobby Lobby wrapped around the edge of the mirror. It was very simple and elegant. I also had pink table runners under them.

And these have mirrors, but flowers instead of candles.

Constructed centerpieces are beautiful of course, but I do like the table pieces that you are putting together using different elements it takes a bit longer, but the results are beautiful
You have mirrors, candles placing these in a loose fashion with flowers and greens, garlands are nice too you can cut these. A mix of flowers and fruit is very pretty. I love the look of crystals, but you can get the look at craft stores in Lucite. I'll get a picture for you so you can see what I am talking about. Fabric, fabric in different colors and textures is another idea as well. You can practice your look at home which makes setting up a lot easier when the time comes.

We are using this idea with orange roses for Biz's wedding except that we are wrapping a ribbon around the vase, placing river rock in the bottom. The other centerpiece is a 6x6 square glass vase with roses layered on the bottom, then another layer above with longer stems. Both of the centerpiece s will be surrounded by river rock with votives grouped by 3's.
