So I havent worn makeup in yrs! I am wanting something that is a powder foundation, but when I wore it yrs. ago it makes you look so dry. I hate the liquid foundation. So you ladies who wear it please tell me what kind is good! TIA

I use this stuff (http://www.neutrogena.com/CosmeticsDetails_1.asp?lProductLineID=4)from Neutrogena, and I love it. My skin tends to be oily and prone to break-outs, and this is oil free with salicylic acid to help treat and prevent breakouts. Neutrogena has other great products too :)

Perhaps a mineral foundation of some sort? There are some decent drugstore ones, as well as high end ones.

As far as reasonably priced foundation I use physicians formula because it doesn't make my skin break out like most of the others. I do wonder if some of the higher end products make a difference? Can't say I've ever tried them;)

I like tinted moisturizer, Marcelle brand, with some loose powder over top. Very natural.

I use Arbonne's mineral powder foundation. Goes on fast, is light and natural looking. :)

I agree 100%! I've never been able to find a foundation that works well with my complexion because I'm so super white. With bare minerals it doesn't matter. It's so light weight and it looks great and stays put! It's a little more expensive, but it's worth it!

When I want a lot of coverage (special occasions), I use a cream-to-powder foundation from Caryl Baker Visage. The key to getting great coverage, regardless of what you're using, is to use the right tools. If you decide to try a cream or liquid, apply it with a synthetic-bristled brush instead of a sponge or your fingers. I like those results MUCH better!
As for powder, I've used powder/minerals when I only need a light layer and, though it was a high-quality brand, I found that it accentuated my pores and the fine lines I'm starting to get around my eyes, so if that's a concern for you, you might want to stick with a light liquid. Clinique has great stuff too, since I think Caryl Baker is only available in Canada, and I see you're in IL. Good luck in your search. :)
