This isn't my headpiece, but I used this pic to show you the ends of it. (the little holes) that is what mine has.
I went for a new hair trial and the hairdresser told me that bobbypins won't hold it in place. that there is something missing, what I don't know. She says it should have another piece that would attach it to the veil. She told me I have to find something that she could use to keep it in place. I have no clue what she is looking for, if she tries to pin it to my head, it lifts the headpiece off my head. I was thinking of bending the ends to shape my head to pin it.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I only have a week left before my wedding, and I didn't need this added stress!!

My tiara is pretty much exactly like the one that you show, but different detail of course. But my hair stylist (for my trial) didn't have a problem with it at all. She put up the back part of my hair, and then stuck the tiara from the top, and the sides down into my hair...putting the front/sides around it on the sides. She even did pin it on one side, but I'm not sure it helped any. But it stayed fine. Maybe it's to do with the type of hair style you have....but I would think she could still use it just fine. It's just like a head band, with the ends of it slanted backwards on your head instead of vertically.
:dontknow: Sorry that's not much help for what you were looking for. Good luck!

This is the only thing I can come up with doing a search, and pretty much it says that bobby pins are what she's supposed to be using:
How to wear your tiara
Each convertible tiara has loops on the end where the tiara can secured to your hair with bobby pins. The tiara can be worn alone or with a veil. A veil with a comb will keep the veil in place. If you're wearing your hair up the tiara should be placed right in front of your hairstyle with the veil placed at the base of your hairstyle. If you're wearing your hair down place the tiara on the top front part of your head and attach the veil just behind the tiara.

The only other thing I can think of is either something like this:

or this:

And either of those you should be able to find at any crafts store in the beading or sewing sections, I would think.

I had the same type of ends as you...my stylist just bended the tiara to fit the shape of my head, and it stayed on all night....sorry I can't help more.

thats kinda the same thing I have but mines a double thing and mine has the holes and i had no problem whatsoever with my headband in place! We didnt use bobby pins or anything, she said if we needed to we couldve but she didnt need them. What hair style are you wanting?

My advice is that if you have to tie some thread loops on the ends, big enough for your stylist to be able to use bobby pins. That way you have nothing big and gawdy on the ends. Just some plain silver thread or something like that.
I had loops on my veil at the request of my stylist and they worked out great.
Hope you are able to figure something out.

Mine is exactly like that on the end as well, and like everyone else I thought you were just supposed to pin it. As far as I know there is no other piece! How strange!

My hair is thin too. But the lady who did my hair didn't want any parts of the bobby pins. she insisted that I needed something else. I will have to call her this week and explain it to her.
