What did you do for table numbers?

I finally, finally figured out my table numbers!!

I am a huge reader, and Chris loves classic rock. I think half the tables are going to be named after my favorite books, and half of them after his favorite albums. Instead of having a table number in a holder, I'll have a copy of the book or the cd in a little easel. (Maybe) Or maybe I will just put the cover art onto tag and use that as the number. That may be more practical.

Did you do anything special for your table numbers? What? Why?

Nope, we didn't assign seats so we just had little tent cards that said "Reserved" for DH's and my families.

If we had assigned tables, we would have just used the table numbers from the reception venue.

We are thinking of using pictures of FH and I throughout our entire relationship as table numbers.

Cute ideas! We didn't do table numbers but we had runners with our favorite poetry hand written on them, if that inspires anyone to do something creative. :)

I had some friends use buildings from our college campus as table "numbers". They had pictures of the buildings on the easel thingys that coordinate with the sticker on our CD favors. They even coordinated the building with how they knew the guests where applicable. For instance, we were all in marching band together in college so our table was the field where we rehearsed & the Music Building. The people who lived with them in the same dorm Freshman year were seated at "Hubbard Hall", etc.

Actually, in a roundabout way, it totally does! Duh! We should put our favorite passages/lyrics on the back of the cards.

I made our table numbers myself with scrap booking paper then I just printed up the numbers on the computer

We made little table tents and named our tables after famous east coast usa beaches & islands:

Our tables were named after mythical creatures I wanted a kiddies table so I could call it "imp" but I decided against it

We just did boring old numbers....we had thought about doing some different, but then I found the perfect table cards for our guests, and we couldn't fit titles on the cards. And I'm lazy and didn't want one more project :giggle:

We were married on New Year's Eve...so we had New Year's "Wishes" instead of table numbers--Patience, Friendship, Love, Happiness, Dreams, Hope, etc. We also put quotes about the wish on the table names.
