So this morning, I had a phonecall and I have to go outside to use my phone for anyone to hear me decently (stupid Cingular had to go and sell out to AT&T, the stupids), and I noticed a big box outside the door. They do that sometimes, especially UPS, since they won't fit into our mailbox...they come Aaaall the way down our driveway and put it here for us, which I'm surprised they do, but it's nice.

Anyways, I look at it and realize...it's for ME?!? I couldn't for the life of me figure out what it could be...all I am expecting in the mail is my cute wedding shirt (which I *hope* gets here soon!), and this was MUCH to big for that. So, after my phonecall, I haul it in the house, and it's from SearsDirect.com...and I realize...OUR FIRST WEDDING GIFT! So open it to find tons of styrofoam peanuts...covering up this:

SWEET!!

But who is it from??....NO IDEA. There is NOTHING else in the box. There IS a packing slip, but all it says is what it is, and my address for both the SHIP TO and the BILL TO boxes..it doesn't even say where it came from...not a thing! We did register for it, and it's the very first gift we have gotten off that registry (most bought off the BBB registry for the shower), and I have not a clue on who sent us this....how am I supposed to send a thank you card for a gift, when I don't know who it is from? No one's mentioned that I should be expecting a gift...at least not yet...What do I do about this? Just let it go until someone says something? Ask around to family?

It's a nice gift though...I'm excited! Our first wedding gift...

How annoying that they didnt tell you who it was from maybe a card is on its way and got sperated from the gift. It is adorable
What I would do and I dont know if its the polite thing to do is ask family maybe someone knows something. The thing is if you let it go the giver might not say anything for any number of reasons.

I had the same thing happen to me with a TV tray set from Target. We had registered for them but there was nothing to indicated who it was from. I asked my mom to do some detective work but we haven't found out yet.

I asked my mom to do some detective work but we haven't found out yet.

This is what I was going to say. Have your family do some asking around to see who it might be from, so that they can receive proper thanks for the gift. And yay for your first gift! :)

Congrats on getting your first wedding gift. That is always exciting. It sucks that there isn't a card or anything. Have you thought about phoning where your registred and seeing if they have name or something like that??:dontknow:

Those little cards can get lost pretty easy in all styrofoam peanuts. If it truly isn't there, have your family ask around.
