We were married on a Monday between Christmas and New Years Eve in our home church with 40 guests. It was very cold, -27C/-17F, but we weren't sure if it would snow or not. It did. Just enough to make us happy.

My gown was a discontinued Sincerity store sample. I bought it off-the rack for $90 and cleaned the dirt off of it by hand with dish soap and Oxy Clean.

The cross CZ earrings were an eBay find for $1 as was the tiara, $9. The cross pendant was borrowed from a special friend, the fiance of our Best Man.

I prepared our own hand-tied bouquets with beads and peacock neck feathers in our colour theme of navy blue. The beaded flowers in my bouquet and in Corey's bout were handmade by my sister.

Our first dance was "Keeper of the Stars" by Tracy Byrd. The wedding cake was our favourite white chocolate raspberry cheesecake from the Cheesecake Cafe and had fairies representing not just us, but our kids, too, on it. Corey decorated the cake and made the topper.

Our reception site was a Victorian fantasy-themed B&B. This was where we spent our wedding night, too. The food was meal-sized portions of finger foods so our guests could enjoy any part of the house while they ate.

Kate, thank you. My UW buddies -- many of whom are here at MLW now -- gave me so many good ideas for creating a fun and memorable event for our blending family... even on a teeny budget. Hubby and the kids were very enthusiastic about all that we did. I'm glad that you enjoyed seeing the pics again.

We just celebrated our fourth anniversary! Hubby gave me a diamond tennis bracelet. He says he is running out of my body parts to put diamonds on, but maybe by next year I'll be in good enough shape to pierce my belly button. My gift to him was a gold chain with a cross on it; he's always wanted one. We spent Saturday evening at a fancy steak house and then went to see Enchanted. We give the movie two thumbs up. I'm a sucker for princess movies.
