Who is doing your makeup for your wedding day?

Mine was done by my sister. I bought the makeup from Clinique at a department store and she did it. I thought it was just as good as a professional, and had many comliments on it.

I did my own. I had a couple of trials done and was never happy with the results. I have one pic of my first trial, and it was HORRID! The women matched my makeup to the colors of my DRESS and not to me! And there is a popular opinion a bride should wear PINK make up (maybe it is just here, but.....) I have olive skin tones, so pink is NOT my color, it made me look sickly and washed out.

I am hoping to find someone to do my makeup..

When my sister got married the wife of the hair sylist did our makeup. She was suppose to be a license makeup artist.. I think maybe for clown school.

I ended up taking it off and doing my own makeup..I did a better job than here.

For my wedding I want to find someone to do it right.

There is a mary kay lady in town and i let her do HALF my face one time and she totally chose wrong colors.

I'm never happy with the makeup others do for me, so I did my own. I loved having that quiet calm time alone before the ceremony. :)

I had mine done at Sephora - I had a consultation the week before, where I picked out what makeup they would use and did a trial run; then I scheduled appointments for the day-of and they did exactly what we'd planned. The person who did my consult couldn't be there that day, so he used a little card they had with a face on it and put in the makeup we had decided on, and someone else did it on the actula wedding day. I was really happy with it. :) They did my BP, too.

ETA: It was also totally free. I did buy some of the makeup though.

The BMan's gf is a professional makeup artist for some really famous people. She offered to do my hair and makeup for free as a wedding present. Otherwise I think I would've been doing my own.

My cousin's girlfriend is a make up artist for Elizabeth Arden so I'm going to ask her to do it.

I'll be doing my own. I trust very few people to do my makeup for me... besides, that's just one less thing I'll have to pay for. ;D

I'm doing my own, but I'm practicing quite a bit beforehand. I need to find some really great waterproof eyeliner and mascara so I'm hoping my MK friend has some suggestions!

My MatOH's MIL sells Mary Kay and she did it for us (me and the bridesmaids). She walked us through everything and was there to help if needed! It was wonderful!

I got a Bridal Package from AVEDA. It included a hair and makeup trial which I used on bridal portrait day, and hair & makeup for the big day. Also included pedicure and manicure on day of, makeup to take with you, a personlized scent they make just for you, and a few other things. It was kinda pricey (couple of hundred) , but so worth it.

fizbo - that's not bad actually!! When you consider that I will pay about $100 for my hair alone on wedding day!!!

I will do my own make up. I've been doing it since I was too young to wear it, and no one else can do as good a job. And I am a perfectionist freak when it comes to my lipstick being on straight, so I wouldn't let anyone do that anyway. I might as well do it all myself.

But if anyone does have a good recommendation for waterproof liquid eyeliner that REALLY stays on, I'd love to hear from you!! Even if my eyes water a little (I'm a contact lense wearer) my eyeliner can run, and so I don't usually wear liquid, but I would like to for wedding day if I can.

A very good friend of mine is going to do it. She is AMAZING!! She just graduated from make-up school and has already had one-on-one training from the head make-up artist from "Chronicles of Narnia" and has worked with some celebrities who said that they would love to hire her as their personal make-up artist!

I booked an appt today with a hair salon that does makeup, hair, nails .. they are younger girls (about my age) that own/run the salon. So I will find out on my trial run on Sept 5th, how well my makeup, hair looks.

I really have no idea who is going to do my makeup. Honestly I am hoping that I can do it myself - but then I'm afraid I'll look too 'everyday'. I think I might ask my stylist who she recommends next time I see her.

 My best guy friend from high school did my makeup; he learned how to apply it in college, oddly enough! He did an awesome job, too; I think he puts makeup on better than I do!

The same woman whom I hired to do our hair is doing my makeup. For me it is going to cost $110 to have both my hair and makeup done and she's coming to the hotel room.

I did my own. I'm a makeup addict, and I never much like it when other people do my makeup. So I just practiced a bit and I was very happy with how it looked on my wedding day.

I'm getting mine done at the same place my best friend had hers done and we all got ours done -- I'm going to get all the BM's done, but mine is free. The woman who owns the place (called The Fountain) is the SIL of one of my mom's best friends, and that was SHEER coincidence! Needless to say, Debby (friend) bought me my wedding day makeup and bridal portrait make up as an engagement gift. She's reading a prayer in my wedding, and not because of the makeup -- because she's special to me and never has had any children of her own and wants to be apart of the big day. I love her :)

We are having 3 makeup artists from Updos (http://www.updosstudio.com) come to the ceremony site to do our makeup.
