Table Number Alternatives

What are some ideas other then using the standard number system for the tables?

Name them after vacation spots you & Chris have been to and on the back of the card, give a brief description of the trip. We vacationed here in 2003 together and...

Name them after important places to ya'll and on the back list why it's important. This was where we ate dinner for our first date. It's also where he proposed a year later...

This is a very iffy idea...Some may like it, some may not...But name them after people who can't be there but you really really wish could. Grandparents, etc. :( Only problem is with too many named after deceased relatives, could get to be a 'downer' and overshadow the event. :dunno:

We'd like to name the tables after famous beaches...(lol, guess my theme!)

I really love the places idea.. but famous beaches is good too.. it would make me want to go there.. but hey you cant have everything.

We named ours as "wishes" for our guests....Friendship, Laughter, Courage... We had a NYE wedding, so we described them as our NYE wishes for them in the upcoming year.

Or theme was fantasty so we named our tables after mythical creatures

A friend of mine named her tables after different things you need to make a relationship last love, trust, faith, laughter, etc.

We have 2 ideas and not sure which one we will use.
Idea 1: Navy ships. I found pictures of different ones and got them fitted to frames. The name of the ship was on the picture.

Idea 2: Places we have been. I have a postcard from every place we have visited. On the back of each postcard is the date and a pic of us & the kids. This is my favorite idea because people can see the places we went and enjoyed. My favorite is the one from Greece.

We went to a wedding that had postcards of local, important or historical places. Such as a the local farmhouse or largest mountain in the state.

I however like the wine idea. That would go very well with your location!

We didn't have table numbers, but my sister used different Red Sox baseball players for her tables at her wedding last year. I loved it!

We'll be using Pittsburgh Steeler numbers at ours. :)

Our theme is stars so we named ours after stars/constellations.... Cassiopeia, Andromeda, Dorado, Little Dipper (for the kids table), and a few more, but you get the idea :D

We are naming our tables after parks in the cities that are of significance to us...each of our home towns, Reno (where we live), and Boise (where the wedding is being held).
