View Full Version : Rock-n-Roll favors?

Hi all! I've been gone a long time, but I have a friend getting married soon, and I promised a long time ago I would help her plan. She is very classic, but her FH is very into heavy metal. I thought the favors might be a fun place to throw him a bone, rock-wise. Any ideas? I'm thinking along the lines of rock candy or something else with a double entendre or a play on words. Do you think it would be possible to work in a mullet or spandex? I'd like to avoid cds since most people don't love his taste in music.
All brainstorms welcome! :)

Maybe wrist bands with spikes on them, a la Billy Idol? I'm intrigued by this one. I'll keep thinking on it.
ETA: DH suggested guitar picks. I'm sure you could get those personalized if you wanted.

Heather! :bliss: So glad to see you here again!
Not a favor but what about temp tatts? We actually bought these for Biz's wedding since her DH is heavily tatt'd. We thought we would all slap them on before they cut the cake and that would be funny but time got away from us. :)

Love the guitar pick idea!!
I was trying to think of a way you could include records (old vinyl - you could pick up TONS at thrift stores), but the only thing I could come up with was this:

Which would probably be too big for favors... Though it would be pretty cool as a centerpiece...

What about having those Jones soda bottles made up with a rock label on them?
I love the guitar pic idea!
*rock candy
*chocolates in shapes of guitars, drumsticks, microphones (or candles or soaps)
*Rock & roll shapes for personalized magnets
*Hard candy buffet with special printed packaging...
*Christmas ornaments (guitars, drums, stuff like that)
*For the ladies you could get lip gloss made, on the tubes it could have a play on words like KISS and whatnot.

Miss Sparky, the Jones soda bottle is really good, and I think the groom would love it. The rest of the wedding will be very chic and traditional, and they would be a fun thing for guests to collect at the end of the night. We could do great color tie ins too.
The only thing about the guitar picks is, what would people do with them? The groom himself is not even a musician, just a fan. :) Maybe we could do labels for bags (also thinking of a popcorn buffet, unrelated) in guitar pick shapes...
Love the brainstorming! Keep it coming!

Just some brainstorming on things that I consider rock-n-roll. Maybe they will inspire some other ideas;
back stage passes
VIP badges
tattoos
guitars
drums
microphones
skulls
flaming hearts
vinyl albums
music notes
