We bought travel insurance through AAA for our honeymoon...I'll have to look up how much it was but I don't think it was that expensive...

I bought it for piece of mind, in case of a hurricane!

This is where I went thru. Was very cheap. http://www.imglobal.com/

Now, this is for 'out of country health insurance'. Not sure if that's what you're meaning by 'travel insurance'?

Hi hi-

Our travel insurance was offered as part of our cruise package and yes, we took advantage of it... if for nothing more than the peace of mind that if something goes wrong, they will take care of it.

Fh and I also took the travel insurance. Ours covers if we have a family emergency or a natural disaster. It cost us about $140 for the both of us. I think it is totally worth it.

We paid $99 for insurance on an all inclusive trip for my son and his wife for their honeymoon. The bride to be was in a car accident 2 weeks before the wedding and in a cast and crutches on her wedding day. The honeymoon was cancelled...hard to fly, snorkle, sightsee etc. on crutches... we were SO thankful that we were able to get our $$ refunded (and that she was able to go on with the wedding) and they are now planning a trip for this summer to celebrate their 1st anniv.

Moral of this story- trip insurance is totally worth it!

I definately agree. terry was sick last year after the cruise and in Thailand.. the doctor was great and although we had to pay first, we got it all back.

MemphisMom....Where did you purchase the travel insurance from? And was the $99 for both the bride and groom's trip?
