Is or did anybody have an updo with a veil that covers your face? Do you have any pics cause I'm having a hard time picturing it. I was planning on having a veil but FH just told me that he actually wants to remove it from my face... so now I need to know how that works.

When you say, "covering your face," are you referring to having a blusher that your FH will lift to kiss you when you're pronouned husband and wife?

:ban-split: :whoop: thank you so much for those pics... so your dad removed it? FH got a little teary eyed when I told him that the father might be responsible for the veil removal... but even if thats true I think I'm just going to have it on the whole time and have FH remove it to "kiss the bride"... he really wants this and I don't have the heart to deny him.

and I love your updo... do you have any close up shots of it... I'd like to use it as inspiration, if that's ok?

I'm not having an updo, but am having a blusher that Dan will remove when it's time to kiss. I think it's a beautiful romantic gesture and couldn't get married without it :sniff: (sorry get a little teary when I think of it ;) )

kat many brides leave the blusher on the whole time and then have their new dh remove it right before the kiss. thats very romantic. i just didnt want to have anything blocking my vision so i had my dad remove it. i have up close pics just not uploaded yet. i will get them and pm them to you and you sure can use them as an inspiration! glad i was able to help

thank you so much... I can't wait to see your hair close ups. :disco: FH is very set on the blusher and he too described it as romantic... so a blusher it is :D

Have you tried on blushers yet? They aren't actually hard to see through, just a little hazy. You can also get pictures taken clearly through them, which is good.

I haven't tried any on yet but I have an appointment for alterations on my dress this coming Sunday so I think I'll try some on then... plus what I've noticed is that veils are made with different material, so I guess it really depends on what my veil is made of... if I win the bid on it. :crossfing:

it's only the 3rd thing I've ever bought on ebay and it's the first thing that I've had anybody competing with me on... foolish person trying to be more cunning than Kat :pfft:

I had my first store on ebay before moving to my own site. It's a great sales tool that allows so many people to find something they need that otherwise they wouldn't be able to get.

so true... I went around looking for similar veils and they were about $140... theres no way I would have paid that, so without ebay I wouldn't have a such a beautiful veil or tiara

Know that I did try to find a cheaper one, lol, and that I wouldn't have paid so much which is why it's a present from my mom ;)
