What is on your rehearsal dinner menu?

We're going very casual--meat platters for sandwiches, pasta, meatballs, pasta salad, regular salad, and chips. I think we chose ice cream for dessert. I'm so thrilled that the restaurant we're using does this!!!

We had our rehearsal dinner at Stephanie's on Newbury in Boston. We had pu-pu platter appetizers (onion rings, crab cakes, artichoke pizza, lobster enchilladas, etc.) and then for the main course people could choose from lobster pot pie (SO amazing), the restuarant's famous meatloaf, macaroni and cheese, or fish and chips. It was an AWESOME meal!

We had our resturant at a a local popular resturant. They are famous for their chicken. The guest had a choice of a Beef tip meal, chicken meal or perch meal. It came with relishes, soup, choice of potato, hot rolls, and ice cream for dessert. Everyone picked either chicken or perch.

We had our rehearsal dinner at a great local Italian restaurant, and had several main dish choices (pasta, chicken, fish options) on a menu. We also had salads, drinks, and bread on the side.

My mouth is watering just thinking about it! We haven't been back since the rehearsal dinner!

Our rehearsal dinner was at my parents home. It was very casual, we had pizza, salad, breadsticks, hot wings, soda, beer and fireworks. It was a blast.

We are having traditional Ukrainian foods made by FMIL. It's the one Ukrainian touch we'll be having in the wedding.

I'm not entirely sure yet but I think:
Varenyky - (AKA perogies) resembles a ravioli, some with cottage cheese and some with ground beef, perhaps some with sourkraut
Borshch - beet soup (very good and it's PINK!)
Golubtsi - ground beef wrapped in cabbage, cooked in tomato sauce (FH's family calls this "Pigs in a blanket")

There is more but I'm not sure what else will be included.

Dessert is marble cake in the shape of Darth Vader's helmet :D

I don't have the exact menu planned yet but we are having a cookout at our house. Hamburgers, hot dogs .....

Theresa - A few years back I watched a review of Stephanie's on Chronicle and since then my mouth waters at the mention of it. What is the dress code like there? I'm thinking I should make a trip to Boston soon.

I want to have a laid back RD since the next day I'll have to be lady like. I'm thinking pizza (that's what we had after he proposed), salad, and cold cuts.

Since it's going to be late (the rehearsal is at 7:30, "dinner after"), we're doing an appetizer buffet. Meatballs, mini quesadillas, mini sandwiches, that type of deal.

At least that's the plan right now...

We had a potluck, so we had everything ranging from ribs that my daddy BBQ'd (in January! That's a father's devotion!) to salad, cabbage rolls, etc. It was awesome and totally casual, which was nice. We had it at my dad's house, so it allowed everyone to just hang out and relax.

We actually ordered a bunch oh finger good from a local resturant. It went over well and we never had anything left over.

My mom and sister are taking care of the rehearsal dinner. Its going to be at my house. And I think they are doing an italian theme. They are cooking lasagna, meat stuffed shells, not sure what else :) and a ceasar salad. my mom's making her famous chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting for dessert! If I remember, I would like to order a groom's cake for that night too!

Ours was SO good. We had fresh made quesadillas (a woman was there making them and serving them) and chips and salsa and queso to start. Then for our main course it was fajitas with all the trimmings, and rice and beans :) We had sopapillas and cheesecake for dessert :)

It was at Cadillac Bar & Grill and SO good!
