I do have a promise ring but I don't have a picture of it. I will try to post one this weekend. But FH gave it to me after about 1.5yrs of dating, after I just had surgery and right before I left to go away to school. It was his way of making sure I always knew I was in his heart.

Here's mine. We met online in Aug. 2000 so when we finally met in person 3 months later he bought it on our "first" date.

I do, but I don't have any photos of it.....and it's too small for my right hand, so I don't wear it. We never think to have it sized, lol.

Yes - I had one as well, and so did he. :) We sent each other rings (we are a long distance couple, but only for 39 more days). Not the most romantic way to give someone a ring, but I still cried when I got it nonetheless.

My "promise" ring.. actually more like I LOVE YOU ring..was my birthstone ring.. I got it probably almost 2 months after we started dating.

No pictures.. I can't wear it anymore cause the band got bent up and it won't fit on my finger without feeling like I was cutting my finger off.

Here is the ring BJ got me for our 2 year anniversary. He gave it to me while we were having a really nice dinner and I thought he was proposing but it was just a promise ring. I dont have it anymore though.

I do have one but I don't think I have any pictures of it. I call it my "ice chip" It had a little diamond in a yellow gold setting with a white gold band. FH totally blew me away when he gave it to me. I wasn't expecting it at all and he was really sweet about it.:lovestruck:

I have a chip too! I got it for christmas the first year we dated. I don't wear it anymore, but I still love it. He had put a fake ring the the box and gave it too me that way, and I tried so hard to be excited about it, and then he pulled the real one out. The ring that was in the box was out of a machine he got at Taco Bell :) I wore it around for a while and then it turned my finger green. He always has to be a joker...

I liked the one he first gave me better than this one, but there were problems with the setting (I broke 3, lost a prong, then a prong and the diamond and then offset the whole setting) so we traded it in for this one and got enough money back to get me a new bikini! Hehe!

I have one but I don't wear it anymore. I wear my new engagement ring on my left hand and my old one on my right hand. But my promise ring is silver and has 2 hearts. One has my birthstone in the middle. The oter has his. And beneath the hearts it says LOVE. I love it but it just wouldn't look right with my other 2 rings.

I have a birthstone ring that he bought me last year for my birthday. It's absolutely GORGEOUS. I think of it as my promise ring because we started talking marriage not to long after...

FH bought me this ring in Feb. of 2002. We were at wal-mart gathering things to take to my brothers Army graduation (national gaurd). We passed the jewlery counter and I was like, "oh look that ones pretty." and he bought it for me and said it can be my promise ring. :). We had only been together for 9 months when he bought it. Later he ended up buying me ear-rings and a necklace to match :).

Kari, my promise ring actually looks a bunch like yours. The ONLY difference is the whole thing is in white gold, and it has 5 stones, blue topaz (his birthstone) and diamond alternating. I wanted a ring that had his birthstone in it, so I was tickled to finally get one!!

I know this thread hasnt been around for a while but i thought i'd bring it back up. Though i have an engagement ring now, i still love my promise ring. I dont wear it anymore, although i'd like to get it resized so i could wear it on my right hand some day.

All of the rings on here are so pretty!

I never got a promise ring...only because I told Troy I didn't want one. I got two "promise" rings from two of my ex's that I was pretty serious with and both times our relationship ended about a month after I got the rings. So to me a "promise" ring is like bad luck or something! :teehee:
