What songs were on your "Play these and you die" list?

Mine were the chicken dance, YMCA, and anything by Madonna.

we didnt have a do not play list. i left if up to the dj i figured he was the pro and knew how to get the party going

I hate the songs Celebration and We Are Family. I don't like those songs you hear and think "wedding song" either, so those wer enot played :)

We didn't do a list of "do not play" songs. But if I did I would have included, Mambo #5 and anything by Lenny Kravitz, eww.

Since I'm creating the playlist and not having a DJ there's nothing on there that I don't want to hear... but the Chicken Dance, YMCA and the Hokey Pokey are definately NOT in there.

However, I did include Doin' The Pigeon from Sesame Street..... I wonder if anyone will do the pigeon with me?

When we had our final meeting with our DJ, he asked about our "Do No Play List" and immediately said "Let me guess, no Celine"...apparently she's pretty popular on his do not play lists! :lol2:

I think we had a Do Not Play list, and the Macarena, the Chicken Dance, and a few other dances were excluded. Our DJ came up to us afterward and said he loved the playlist he gave him, so we were happy. Our DJ did an awesome job at our reception.

no offence to anyone but i find the fact that u have the chicken dance on your do not play list. My fhs sister loves that song, and her son is 2 now and knows it. When she goes to the one bar in our town which we do have a dj on the weekends for, he wont play it for her, its a long running joke, but we cant afford him for the wedding, but it will be played

Our no play list was Macarena, Chicken Dance, We are family, and I Will Survive. Our DJ did an excellent job with the music and some songs that I may not have really wanted, went over really well with the crowd. They watch and they know what to play. We still did some group dances, I have never seen so many people on the dance floor for the Electric Slide and that Cha Cha song...we had a lot of dancers!!
