Hi there!

I don't use foundation regularly--just some light eye makeup. I like the natural look which is why I do not use the foundation. I do however, like the "finished" look that generally requires foundation of some sort. I tried the bare minerals and it just dries out my skin. I have really sensitive and dry skin to begin with. I use the Clinique 3 step face cleanser (just saying for reference).

What foundation do you use? Would you recommend it for dry, sensitive skin?

Thanks girls!

Hi Tala! I used to use Clinique and really liked how it worked on my dry and sensitive skin. Do they have a cream foundation that comes in a compact? If so, you might want to try that, as it'll probably be more rich and hydrating than the average liquid. Also, you might want to try applying your foundation (no matter what kind) with a brush rather than a sponge. If your dry skin is anything like mine was, sponges were horrible for roughing up my skin and making it really flakey. When I used Clinique, I used the three-step, plus the Clinique Moisture Surge, and then a cream foundation with a foundation brush. My skin has some red spots, so I usually just put the foundation on the spots where I need it, rather than slathering it all over my entire face.

Wow, that was a long post! Sorry! Hope it helped though! :)

ETA: Here's the Clinique brand (http://www.clinique.com/templates/products/sp_shaded.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CATEGORY4900&PRODUCT_ID=PROD7667) I was thinking of for you. :shuffle:

You're very welcome! Also, be sure to ask the lady at the Clinique counter for help! I'm sure she would be happy to recommend something, based on your skin type and the other products you use. She might even give you a free sample and/or an impromptu makeover. :)

I use the Shaklee Minerelles foundation. It is a liquid mineral foundation and doesn't contain any of the mineral oils, synthetic dyes or drying talcs many foundations have that are probably causing the problems you have had with other foundations.

I don't wear makeup every day and I think for that reason am very sensative to anything on my face when I do wear it. This is the only one I've found that I don't feel like I'm wearing any makeup.

My 'beautician' told me to use physician's formula products. So I've been using their mineral wear foundation. I like the way it looks. I would say I like the way it feels, but I don't feel I have anything on, which is great.

I use mineral foundations. I've been using them for 2 years now I think...something like that...love them! I've tried lots of different brands but currently Milani's is my favorite

I love my mineral foundation too!!! I haven't tried many brands, but I personally love Arbonne (surprise!) - they actually have a shade light enough for my super-pasty skin :giggle: I've found mineral in general is very light, which would be perfect for sensitive skin.

But yeah - I'll definately say go mineral!

I have combination skin and been using Covergirl TruBlend makeup.. I have problems finding the right shade for my pasty/ghost like complexion and the trublend seems to work perfectly for me.

I use Bare Minerals and at this point, I can't imagine not using a mineral make up! It feels so light and natural.

I don't usually wear makeup, but for my prom had it done at Merle Norman, and it looked really nice.

I use Prescriptives which is specifically made for sensative skin. You can find it at most department stores and you will love it.

I absolutely love Christian Dior foundation/matte and have used it for years. It makes my skin look very smooth and even. I've also recently tried Stila which is pretty good.

I've been using L'Oreal Bare Naturale minerals now for about 3 weeks. Love this stuff, my favorite mineral makeup to date.

bumping this up

I have fair skin but blotchy. Been using Laura Mercier foundation and powder but it is not covering the blotches ...

any suggestions?

I don't want to go to a darker tone, because that would look bizarre

thanks
