I'm Getting An Error...

I was trying to make a reply to my journal thread using quick reply, and it just hung and didn't do anything....

So, I tried to do it using the normal reply function, and when I clicked submit, I got this error:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /forums/newreply.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Apache/1.3.36 Server at www.mustloveweddings.com Port 80

Strangely, it seems like the only place it's doing this is on my journal thread...

That is odd. I went in and did a refresh. Can you try it again? If it's still not working, I'll see if I can get Lacie to look at it.

I'm still not able to post in my journal, but this time it said:

You do not have permission to access this page.

Which I'm assuming that's a custom 403 error page... It's just very odd seeing as that seems to be the ONLY place on the board where I'm having a problem.

Sounds to me like permissions are buggered in vB itself? :S But well, for it to appear out of nowhere seems very odd.

Yeah, I can.... Which is why this seems just so odd....

I even tried cleaning out my cache and cookies and that didn't seem to help...

And I've also tried posting in my journal thread in both Firefox and Konquerer so that deducts that it's not an issue with my browser....

I don't even have a clue where to start trying to figure this out. Your permissions are correct, I can post in your journal without a problem, and nobody else seems to be having this problem, or if they are, they're not telling anyone.

The only thing I can suggest right now is PMing me your password and I can log in as you and see if that gets me anywhere. :dunno:

Okay, now this is REALLY weird..... I wrote what I wanted to post in another program (Kate, a Linux alternative to Notepad) and then copied and pasted it in.... and THAT's when it glitched out... when I tried to make a post where I just typed into the text box, it was fine.

I just got this message too when trying to post to another journal. I typed a new post and that one went through, but when I pasted what I originally wanted to say into the reply, the error came up again. I tried 10 times :dunno:

Perhaps there's a problem with the text boxes if you copy and paste from elsewhere?

I got the original message when I typed it directly and then only copied it when I decided to try again. hmmmm

I have DH working to find a solution to the error messages. Sorry, guys. I'll hopefully have an answer (and a fix) soon. Thanks.

What about if you C/P your post, and then backspace and just re-type one character? Does it work?

Maybe it's a template issue? Try reverting the template? Although, I don't think you've done anything to the ones that might cause that error. Is it a glitch in the permissions per usergroup?

Or, maybe the journals are like "you know, y'all post in me way too much so today, I'm not gonna let you post" they could have minds of their own.

Or it could be a journal conspiracy to drive Gina and Lacie batty from trying to figure out what the heck is going on. I'm sorry y'all are having so many issues! *hugs* Good luck!!
