Photos for me - I want to have every moment of the day in photos :) Thankfully, my nieces (who are our photographers) are also obsessive about taking photos

At first it was the reception venue. Houston is a very big wedding city, and I'm not kidding when I say I visited every venue I could find (at least 30-40). Finally, when I was giving up hope, I heard about the venue we eventually booked (they don't advertise at all).
Now it's photography, I've met with everyone I could find (sound familiar?) and now I have one guy left, and if he's not perfect I don't know what I'll do.

I was obsessed with the invitations. I wanted them to be unique and cool and perfect since they were the avant garde for the whole event. :) But now that it's over, I'm happy to share.

Heather - I agree with you about having things that are unique. But I've noticed that ideas that Jer and I have been thinking of for years are really not all that unique  We've found so many of our ideas already posted here or on some other wedding website! Discouraging, almost!
Hey, but they'll still be unique for OUR wedding, right?

ITA! Things that it seems like EVERYONE is doing, I'll mention to RL friends, and none of them has ever been to a wedding that had it. We are just so much cooler than the general population. :lolroll:

I was obsessed with losing weight, but that's not just specific to my wedding :)
I was also obsessed with getting my DIY projects *perfect*. Both my husband and I tend to be perfectionists so we would re-do things over and over until they looked just right. :)

Unfortunately, I am obsessed with money at the moment. We created a very workable budget with our parents. We weren't going to have to cover a lot ourselves. I just keep seeing more and more that I want to have. I'm trying to budget like crazy to be sure we're going to have enough for all the little extras.

I was obsessed about what music was played at the reception! We did NOT want any dance songs (electric slide, macarena, etc) and we wanted to be sure our DJ played songs that were 'us'. He ended up doing an AWESOME job and played the oldies and 80s songs we wanted :). There's nothing like dancing to The Cars at your reception!

LeAna - I hear you for sure! We both keep coming up with more and more ideas that we can DIY or not...but even the DIY things cost money
I'm definitely obsessed about my weight and looking great in my dress. I want to be smaller than anyone remembers me, I want to WOW people, I hope to do so.
And now that invites are out I'm completely obsessed with RSVPs. I almost called FH at home to see if we got any more!

Right now it is the reception venue. Once that is booked it may be the dress, maybe photography or videographer, maybe the invites... I am sure it will come and go as I get each task done.

That's the way my planning has gone. First it was the ceremony/reception venue. Then it was photograpy, then entertainment, then flowers, then gown, then invites.

My biggest obsession is budgeting. Like many, we're paying for everything ourselves, and that can be very stressful. I am constantly scrutinizing the budget to see where we can cut back some expenses.

The music. I keep playing around with my playlist. I can't seem to just leave it be!
