Alright, the fam and I are leaving in 2 weeks (from today!!) to Ireland for 12 days. To save on packing, I want to bring travel detergent so that we can wash a few items as needed.
Has anyone done this? What brand would you recommend? Any tips?

Might check out Minimus (http://www.minimus.biz) to see what they have. :)

Hmmm... I don't know if they'd ship to me in time (takes 2 weeks to get things up from the US), but I have just learned that Tide makes sink packets!!
Thanks Jer!

When we went on our HM, I just purchased a couple of travel squeeze bottles (they were only $1 each in the area where you can buy travel size toothpaste, deodorant, etc) and used a funnel to fill them with some of our detergent from home. From there, I just packed them in a small ziplock in case they would have leaked (which they did not).
It is a great idea to bring some detergent, whichever way you end up getting it. Very handy to be able to handwash a few things along the way. :)

Thanks Aramelle! I was thinking I could bring powdered detergent (the only liquid stuff we have is for our HE front-loader, and I wasn't sure how it would translate to sinks...) but then thought that a little tupperware container filled with white powder in my suitcase wouldn't look so great!
We ended up going to a camping supply store, and found all-purpose biodegradeable soap - good for dishes, clothes, hair, and body! :aok: It'll be good enough to get what we need clean, I'm sure!
Thanks to everyone who responded though! I appriciate the help!
