The big day! Putting them in the mail!!

So - what was it like for you to finally put them in the mail? Was it a scary moment? Happy? Anxious?

I finally mailed mine on Saturday, and I have to say that I practically bounced around town that day!! :jump4joy:

I was in such a wonderful mood, I was so happy that this one thing made it feel very real, and that it's finally happening for us. It really was a wonderful day.

So - for those who have mailed theirs already, how did it feel to hand them over to the post office and tell the world you are really truly and finally getting married?

I was excited to drop the first half in the mail :)

I bought stamps then went out in the lobby of the P.O. and got them ready.

The post master did her best to find some pretty stamps for me. Our small town post office isn't allowed much of a variety of stamps.

We are excited to get a RSVPs in the mail..

Today is our big day to drop them off! Then I go ahead and sleep in and am late for work so I couldn't even drop them off :( I want to get them out today though, so FH is going to bring them in as soon as he is done with work.

I can't wait for the RSVPs either!

I was so relieved that I didn't have to deal with them anymore once they were out!

set a deadline for getting those addresses so it doesn't linger on and on and on...

It was a relief to get ours in the mail and it definately made it more real... almost like we were shouting it from the roof tops :D

well, I won't let it linger, if anything I'll give them to my mom to take care of. It's mostly just the a) people we know who are known to *wander* and b) people who are currently in the middle of a move.

Ooh, I was *freaking* out when I sent mine! They were my babies, and to send them off into the world really made me nervous and excited! I called everyone I know looking for support, and really just had to go and do it by myself. It was a great day!

I almost had a heart attack at the post office.....we mailed ours almost a month ago. We're moving next week, so I'm just afraid that some will get lost in the shuffle!! EEK! But that's what the phone is for, I guess.

I was so happy to drop them all in the mailbox! I spent so much time making them so I was happy that they finally were mailed.

It was def a relief! We made our pocketfold invites from scratch, so it was a lot of work. It almost felt like mailing them out was the end of it, then we started getting RSVPs back right away and that was fun!

I just dropped mine in the mail today, it felt good. Another thing to check off the list, too bad there's more to do.

One RSVP so far (5 guests), but a bunch of emails saying they received them and they are so pretty!! :) YAY!!

I'm hoping today is a big RSVP day. I know everyone to the east of us received their's so that means probably that everyone to the west did too. It's nice, we've gotten at least one per day since the first one!

I was nervous when I dropped mine in the mail. I wasn't sure they'd survive the USPS experience and I wasn't sure how many people would RSVP. We've gotten about 25 RSVPs back so far, but lots more are out there.

Over a week and only one RSVP so far!!! What are they waiting for??!!! Don't they know I'm just dying to get them back!!?? :)

I'm putting mine the the mail tomorrow...its going to be a huge relief for me because I'm been freaking out that something is going to happen to them while they are still in my hands since they have been reprinted how many times and its been a hastle everytime...so I can't wait to finally get them out of my hands.

I put mine the mail this evening. They will be hitting the mail system at 11am tomorrow! It felt SO good to finally get them out of my possession! I have 2 that I need to take home this weekend for my parents (my dad is just handing those ones out at work) and Alex still needs to take his to work, but they are pretty much all out!!! After we walked away from the counter I was like "WOO HOO!!!!" Really loud, and since we took them to the post office in the grocery store, all of these people looked at me really strangely! :lol: Oh well, I'm excited!

What is that thing you're supposed to ask them to do to keep them nice? Handstamping or something where they don't put it through a machine? I can't remember!

Yes - ask them to hand cancel them for you - it looks prettier and they don't have a chance of getting mangled in the machines.

What is it with people and not RSVP'ing?

My invitations went out at the beginning of July, and the RSVP date is September 1st.....I'm still missing a TON!! ARGH!!! Just drop it in the freakin' mail already!!!

I know I'm going to be making a ton of phone calls....I am NOT happy about it!

If we ever do a vow renewal or something that involves RSVP'ing, I'm just going to have people call or e-mail. :hissyfit:
