:woot:I almost had a heart attack today. Ever since I was little, and watched the cinderella movie, I've always dreamed of riding from church to my reception (which will be at this gorgeous private lake that FH's grandma owns, less than half a mile away from the church) in a white horse drawn carraige much like Cinderella's. Silly, i know.. I'd given up hope, since most of the horse and buggies (There are 3 companies) charge $500-$1,500 an hour, and we need them for 3, and that's over our budget for transportation.
However, even as I was looking into these vendors, I accepted the fact that i would have a simple buggy, not the elaborate one that Cinderella had (round and sort of Onion shaped)... And when i found out prices, I gave up hope.
I was literally two minutes away from booking a limo when FH called me and declared that his best friend had just bought 2 horses from one of the 3 vendors that i was looking at. I was skeptic, since he didn't say what color they were, but i agreed to meet FH at best friend's house a little later.
And guess what? Parked in front of his house when i pulled up was the round buggy from Cinderella! NO KIDDING. It needed a paint job, and best friend said it would get one VERY soon. And the two horses he bought? WHITE as the driven snow. Turns out, best friend decided to make the purchase since they were a very good deal, and he wanted something for his daughters to play with AND get extra pocket money on the side.
He and FH found the round buggy on ebay.
the best part is?
He is not charging us a thing! FH said he could keep the buggy after the wedding, and I agreed to write out a GREAT letter of recomendation for best friend, and let him use our wedding pictures for his ads.
How cool is THAT???
