I have this little flower setting thing on my camera for really up close pictures so that kinda helps with the bluriness.

Another tip for taking good ring pics. Use your macro setting and highest quality picture setting (more pixels) then take one where the ring is focused, even if you are a bit further out, then crop. That's what I did.

I am still invited to family vacations! Anyway, I was extremely close with my friend's siblings. So, when Rebecca died, I took it very hard. I even got a tattoo that means "little sister" on my back.

One night I had an extremely vivid dream about Becca. Sarah was there (my best friend) as she always is in every dream I have about Becca. We were talking with Becca just sitting in the corner. I looked over at her, and without saying a word she handed me a pair of shoes. I was almost angry that this was the only communication I had with her, I mean shoes?! I took the shoes. Becca just smiled as if to let me in on some inside joke...but I was clueless.

The next morning I woke up and told Chad all about my dream. I was angry and confused and had no idea why I would have such a meaningless dream. Then my mom walked in (we were living with her at the time to save some $$). She took me into her room and told me that she was putting on her shoes to go to breakfast when she found a small ring inside her shoe. She had just worn them the day before, so she was curious at how a ring would just make itself into her shoes. She tried it on and it didn't fit. So she had me try it on---it was perfect. 10 channel set diamonds: what I had always invisioned my ring to be!

I broke down crying and told my mom about my dream and how this must've been what Becca was trying to tell me. I know it sounds corny, but I truly believe this was a gift from her. We took the ring to a jeweler and it's 100% real! I am so happy with it...and it means more to me than if Chad had gone to a store and dropped a ton of money.

My wedding band is just a plain, gold band. MIL gave the ring to DH and I right after we got engaged. It belonged to DH's paternal great-grandmother, who was married in the 1890s (I think 1897, but I'm not certain if I'm remembering correctly).

I love it too, it was the first one he tried on and he said it was the one he wanted. It's tungsten so pretty much indestructable, but it can't be sized or fixed...so if his fingers get fat :) or it gets crushed, we have to just buy another one. :(

When he proposed, Ed gave me a beautiful solitaire diamond ring. When we started looking for a band to go with it, we ran into trouble. I had an idea in my mind of what I wanted and just couldn't find it. I always loved my mom's wedding ring, so I searched and searched for something similar. Unfortunately, it just wasn't the current trend for wedding bands.

My mom told me that I was welcome to use some of the "family" diamonds to create a custom band. My grandma passed away about 6 months before my engagment and my parent's divorced when I was 18, so my mom had a lot of jewelry sitting in boxes at her house. I thought that was a great idea, so we started pulling out all the jewelry. I found my mom's ring (which I hadn't seen in years) and said, "Mom, I just love your ring, I want something similar and just can't find it!" To which she replied, "Well, I would love for you to have my ring. It won't hurt my feelings for you to say 'no' but unfortunately it doesn't mean anything to me anymore and just sits in a box, and you are welcome to give it meaning again." The thought of having my mom's ring had NEVER crossed my mind, but as soon as she said this, I knew that it was exactly what I wanted! So, a few weeks before the wedding we had my diamond switched with my mom's orginal larger diamond (the side stones are her originals) and now I have a beautiful ring that holds a lot of meaning for me!!

:yes: There are actually 2 wedding bands.. I wanted a "wrap" band but the goldsmith said with that type of ring it wasn't possible so we just had them make 2

:glomp: Thanks! It is a million times better then I imagined it as well... a while after talking to them and dropping off my ring I kinda got skeptical and was scared that I wouldn't like it when it came but I am amazed at how it turned out.

We were thinking since I already have 2 bands so no anniversary band for me that for our one year anniversary we could add the diamonds around the bands like is on the e-ring but I don't know now if I want to do that, I kinda think that with the other bands just the white gold it showcases the e-ring more.. Who knows. We will see!
