Will he go along with pink as just an accent color? Brown and pink are popular combinations. Or I love green and pink. Again, just use pink as accents in flowers, it doesn't have to be in the cloths.

We picked our colors by using each of our favorite color. His his red, mine is pink. Making the wedding truly a touch of both of us. If he still says no to pink maybe his favorite color and your second favorite if they match?

Will your FH be okay with pink as long as he doesn't wear it? Purple was one of my main colors and DH refused to wear that or have the GM wear it as it's a "girly" color. So, my bridesmaids wore purple and the men's vests were grey and the groom had ivory. It still looked good and I got to use purple in the flower arrangements and so forth.

I agree with the other girls...you could have pink as an accent color. Some flowers, ribbon, etc. It wouldn't all have to be pink. There are some threads on here with Brown/Pink and Green/Pink and some regular pink threads. :)

my DH was against pink at first as well.. I just never dropped it and then he was like fine, pink but stop talking about it!

But yes, if you use pink as a small accent color then would he be ok with that?

Pink, Brown and Teal....? That is my new favorite color combo.

:word: To pink as an accent color.

Does your FH have any suggestions (we had a rule - My DH couldn't veto unless he had a suggestion!)

Brown and Teal with pink is a great idea! Or a light brown and minty green, Or for a winter wedding, white and silver, black and white, silver and light blue, :blah:

To add pink, you could do it in flowers (soft pinks, or bright, depending on the color palette), favors (depending on the favor? pink candy), and even the cake, again depending on the color palette.

Maybe your FH is just worried that you'll put him in a pink shirt with pink tie, and have pink roses all over :shrug2: You don't have to have the wedding party in pink AT ALL to still have it as part of your colors!

I had a friend that used hot pink, her husband's a red head, and he wore a hot pink tie. Here's the best pic I could find:

That friend is the biggest girly girl ever, and there was no way she would go with any other color, because it wouldn't have suited her. Maybe if your hubby to be sees that it can look ok, he'll be ok with it?

:yeah:
That was one of our rules as well, him and his groomsmen were not to be in pink vest and ties... So I put my 2 redheaded BIL's in pink, they were ushers. DH and the Groomsmen all wore Brown vest and ties.

The best pictures I have of the BIL's in pink with their red hair..

Using pink as an accent is a great idea. Main colors could be purples, champagne, greens, blues, brown etc. Or if you want to have the girls in pink they guys vests could be the accent colors.

(I went to Behr (http://www.behr.com/behrx/workbook/index.jsp) and put pink as an accent color.)

I think his feelings about the shade should be considered. I would stay with neutrals, adding maybe a pinky champagne to it. This is just a subtle wash of color which will give you the pink you love and make him feel at ease. I know Men have a really hard time with hot pinks, baby blues etc.
Good luck!
