Des is seriously ill

It is 1:20 Am Irish time, I am back from hospital. Des is seriously ill. I was told there was no point staying longer so my parents took me home. I am still not sure what happened I go to my parents on Tuesdays. Des was found and brought to hospital. I did talk to him but it was like listening to someone sleep talking. Bloods came back ok that is a very good sign but Des is being kept in until further notice

Yes on the pavement he was supposed to collect me but apartently he fell coming out. He was brought to hospital and I got the phone call from the guards (police) to tell me he was there so I went down and like I said there is little I can tell you at the moment. I pray that I can see him tomorrow technically later today

Anyway Des, I am still not certain as to what happened neither is he. He was taken by the guards to the hospital I know because the guard was still there when I got there. He has seemed to come on a lot since last night. It was scary though. I talked to him today and he seems in good form well as good as can be expected. They can list what it isn't at the moment which has to be encouraging but not what it is. Virus at the moment is prime suspect but if the antibiotics help then it can't be a virus can it?

They are going to get him to Dublin to see a specialist and we may know more then. Bloods are good.

Its the not knowing that is the worst I think. I really would like them to say well its serious its THIS or its not serious it is this but label the damn thing and tell us if or how it can be treated.

Well Des is home as there is a waiting list for the specialist. He is in good spirts and under orders from his doctors and nurse Maria to take things easy. He is shaken by the whole thing and finds the fact he can't remember what happened very scary. I am in college he told me to go and leave him to sleep. I checked on him before I left and will check on him again at lunch time

Des is in Dublin. he is in good form and seems ok they are doing a battery of tests. They have ruled out pretty much everything at this stage. We are hopeful as he is getting so much better, the Dublin hospital are doing everything they possibly can. It looks like it was an allergy to his tablets. A major allergy so they are testing him to the world's end now to change his tablets. So now its change tablet time...Great fun.

Des had a good night in hospital last night. I spoke to him briefly as the doctor was just making his rounds. He wants to come home but feels there is the best place for him. He sounded pretty fed up but thinks that it might be Friday when he can come home if not we are hoping to have him home next week. He is in good form and chatty. He is pretty wiped out so he did not want to see me today. He wants to sleep today. I have had his parents on the phone to me all the time. I went from being the cheap two bit tramp to being a star and a saint and a little life saver in the space of uhh half a minute. His mother is lovely and has been in constant touch asking me how I am. Uh its your son who is in hospital not me.

Thank you Erie it is a worry but he is doing well at the moment its the first time he is complaining of boredom- definitely a good sign
