Did any family members and/or friends order any of your professional wedding pictures?
Is there some etiquette about the bride and groom furnishing certain pictures for their families?

Nice to see you Susan!
For my wedding, family members and friends did buy their own professional pictures. They chose to through our photographer's website. However, we did buy a # of pictures for our moms as a gift. I don't know if there is a typical rule of who buys the pictures. It's not something I gave thought about.

We got photo books done for our parents and Chris's daughter and gave them to them as gifts. And then I also got a picture for each member of the wedding party. But again those were gifts. I don't think it is expected (or that it should be expected) that anyone should have to pay for someone elses pictures. If your parents want pictures they should pay for them, if his do they should.

Parents sometimes purchase pictures but I would prefer to give them as gifts myself.

We gave our parents a smaller version of our album, but it came with our package. Otherwise, they bought whatever pics they wanted themselves.

We couldn't afford to order extras .. We did good to pay for the 3hrs we had our photographer.
Someone took the same picture as our photographer with my camera..so we uploaded that picture to an online photo service and ordered pictures..
My parents took my disc with all my wedding photos (off my camera) and had copies made at walmat of what they wanted.. Same with my In-Laws. Whatever pictures my SIL took with her camera, we made copies off :)
My digital camera took just as good pictures as my photographer :) Just the photographer chose the poses and did some B&W/Color spotted photos ;)

At least from my experience, people generally do one large order but it seems from the order form that those are split up among different people. So I think it's more typical for the wedding party and parents to buy their own. Though often a B&G will pick out one picture of the whole wedding party and buy a copy for each person in it and pick out one of themselves for the parents. Usually that's as far as it goes for the B&G buying for other people.
