I was able to find a metal pail with stars cut out around the top of it. We painted it gold and thats it... $1 at target for each of them.

here is mine we might add something to it but I really don't want to since it is already decorated in itself.

Heather, that is a beautiful basket. Where did you find it? I think that is something I'd like more they the typical white one. I agree it doesn't really need any more decorations.

This is mine. It was a galvanized basket and I covered it with white satin fabric and made the bows too!

I've heard of others who found cute Easter baskets to use. I'll have to keep tht in mind.
Amanda, yours was on I remember from UW. I was thinking of doing something like that with a red ribbon.

For a friend's "outdoor winter" themed wedding, we glued small pinecones and pine sprigs to a wicker basket. No pictures, sorry!

j's beautiful, I love that ribbon. And that is a nice basket. I may wait until Easter and see what I can find. I think I like something like that better then the typical flower girl baskets you see with the wedding stuff.

An idea for flower girl baskets is to use the floral sprays they are the easiest to use and do create a very pretty look. It is just a matter of picking the one you like, (there are many), add a small piece of styrofoam to the bottom of the basket, cut the stem of the spray to the right height to show the flowers and just push it in. You can also use 2 one to fill in the basket and the other that has long foliage and flowers to hang over the basket as well.
These are examples:

The first one is very unique, I love it. The second one is a lot like the one I had in mind to make, only in red with a little bit of purple in it.
